Sudeten

Śnieżka, Giant Mountains and High Sudetes

Sudeten were uplifted during the Caledonian and Hertz orogenies, this is a band stretching from the Łaba valley at the Moravian Gate, located in the territory of three countries: Polish, Czech and German.

 

 

Sudeten are divided into the Western Sudetes, Central and East, but in the literature there is also separation of the Sudeten on High, which is defined as massifs rising above the forest line- Giant Mountains, High Jeseník and massif of Śnieżka, which is now the highest mountain of the Sudeten that measures 1602 meters n. P. M.
